Eucalyptus Essential Oil:

Many of you are and have been using eucalyptus essential oil to treat congestion and colds for ages without knowing about it. Because eucalyptus essential oil is a key component to many over the counter chest rubs and vapors known for and marketed for treating colds and congestion.

Eucalyptus essential oil helps the body fight more efficiently against bacteria and promotes a healthier immune system. You can use aromatherapy, or you can directly apply eucalyptus oil to your skin after dilution for treating congestion.

Rosemary Essential Oil:

Rosemary is a commonly grown herb and is found all over the world. Its essential oil contains a compound known as cineole, which helps break down the mucus making it easier to get rid of. Rosemary essential oil also helps in reducing inflammation and clogged nostrils. By using this essential oil, you can breathe with more ease.

Peppermint Essential Oil:

People commonly drink peppermint tea to provide them with relief against a stuffy nose and congestion. You can use essential oils in several ways. But, most oils in their original form are too strong. Hence, they must be diluted either with a carrier oil or water. Usually, about 3 to 5 drops of carrier oil is enough for one use. Carrier oils include almond, olive, coconut, etc.

How to apply:

  • Mix with a carrier oil and apply directly to the skin or clothing (inhalation purposes)
